Swoon-Worthy Fall Wedding Trends
As we gear up for another wedding season, we thought we would make some predictions for our most favourite part of the year - Fall weddings. Last Fall we were so blessed to have shot at some really gorgeous weddings, with one of the real standouts of course being the décor, but we have a sneaking suspicion that some unique ideas will be trending for 2023 as well! So without rambling on for too long, let's get into it...

Florals
One of our favourite trend for Fall has to be the rich, jewel-toned floral arrangements. With elaborate, diffused bouquets, and greens to die for, we're so excited to fall in love with another season of autumn nuptials! Just check out these stand-out arrangements we got to play with last season!
It's all Gourd!
Okay so something that goes right along with florals is décor, and oh boy do we have some predictions for you. First of all we definitely expect to see another season of rust, deep red, burgundy, and gold, but think less table clothes, and more subtle hints of these fall-faves! Candles, chairs, tableware, nothing is off limits when it comes to adding a sophisticated pop of colour to your big day. Something else we saw making headway last year, that we expect (and sincerely hope) to see more of this year, is the use of raw wood, gourds and pumpkins! Honestly, what could scream cozy-romance louder than roses and little pumpkins on a live edge table soaked in candlelight?
It's all about the food (and drinks)
A big part of any wedding day is the food, and drinks that is. So it comes as no surprise that some of the trends we expect for this year revolve around just that! Firstly, champagne towers are out, and champagne aisles are in! Give us all the bar-height champagne tables you can because we're obsessed, and if you've ever been to Bleeks & Bergamot you'll know why. We also expect to see more appetizers again this year! Gone are the days of appies being limited to cocktail hour, we're finding snacks are becoming an all day thing, and honestly why not - a wedding day takes a lot out of you! So whether its hors d'heurves, charcuterie, or pizza during the party, we don't anticipate many hangry guests in 2023...
Black is the new Black
Some things are just timeless, and the colour black certainly is, but its relationship with weddings is changing. As time wages on and we let go of old taboos, we are seeing black become a staple colour for weddings, or should we say a staple shade? Regardless, gone are the days when black was the mandatory for the grooms and groomsmen's suits, and welcome here the days of it being sooo much more. We're talking robes, bridesmaids dresses, candle sticks, place settings, florals, etc. If it comes in black, expect to see it at the next fall wedding.
Cheers to 2023
Well that pretty much sums it all up, and needless to say, we are so excited to see which of our predictions come true! Follow us on social @solandgrand to keep up and see whether or not we're right. Thanks for reading, and here's wishing you the best 2023 wedding season!
